Michael Nassirian

Currently serving as the CEO of ARVR Academy, Michael Nassirian is a seasoned Senior Executive, Quality Architect, and Leader with over three decades of extensive experience leading teams to create innovative solutions across a variety of emerging and established technologies in both the US and international markets. 

Holding a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas, Michael began his career at Texas Instruments, where he led various teams in designing and delivering ASIC chipsets for military applications, eventually transitioning to managing the delivery of advanced processors used in SPARC stations. 

In 1997, he moved to Microsoft and played a key role across multiple divisions, managing the Microsoft Office International quality development for over nine years, before moving to the Microsoft Windows Division. There, he led quality teams on pivotal projects including Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Surface, and IOT line of products. Towards the end of his tenure at Microsoft, he served as a Partner Quality Manager and Architect in the Windows Analog Division, contributing significantly to the development of HoloLens.

Post his 19-year journey at Microsoft, Michael’s curiosity drove him into the realms of Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality. He now engages in training, consulting, developing, and innovating Mixed Reality technologies across various industries like Education, Medical, Automotive, Manufacturing, and E-commerce. As a serial entrepreneur with a solid track record in disruptive technologies, Michael’s continuous learning and exploration of new territories highlight his professional ethos. 

He has also authored “I am Tired”, a book that sheds light on the dynamics of corporate culture in America, aiming to guide young college graduates, entrepreneurs, and corporate leaders. Recently, he engaged with Amazon’s Ads team on ‘Succeeding in Corporate America’, showcasing his dedication to sharing insights on navigating the corporate landscape. 

His election as the Chair for the 2020-21 year at Bellevue Chamber, followed by his current role at ARVR Academy, marks the ongoing journey of professional excellence and community engagement. Michael’s narrative is a mix of technical expertise, entrepreneurial endeavors, and a relentless pursuit of knowledge, positioning him as a knowledgeable and innovative figure in the tech industry.
